This design is centered around a love of fruit and a desire to connect young kids with nature while providing gathering spaces and keeping the entire space legible and easy to maintain. Thus, what we have is a mix of edible trees and shrubs, kid-level flowers and touch-friendly plants (& entirely nontoxic palette), clean, round planting bed lines, sleek raised vegetable beds with an arbor for raspberries, and room to add more once this is established.
